We honor each other’s voices, influences, and ideas by trusting the identity that Holy Spirit has placed within us. In the same way, Jesus postured himself to serve, we also posture ourselves to serve one another in humility. We prefer each other by honoring in words and actions, keeping no record of wrongs, and considering and trusting one another.

Gossip hurts people in any community, and it’s something the Lord hates. People are safe in our ears because when we hear something negative being spoken about them, we consciously try to believe the best about them and end the gossip with us. People are safe in our mouths because we refuse to speak negatively about them with others in our community. Instead, if we have an issue with someone, we go directly to them. And if we need to process with someone before the confrontation, we do it with a trusted mentor outside the community.
